A Prayer For Discernment
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your great love for our church family. We thank you for knowing our needs, and for a future that is secure in you. As we continue this process of discernment for the future of the Stone Church help us find that unity in following your will. Give us grace to hear your call, and grace to follow in obedience.
We commit up to you the Stone Church Action team. Bless the work of their hands. Give them clear direction. May their discussions be grace-filled and may their efforts be done in your perfect peace. We pray for their protection, for wisdom, for clear communication and for open hearts as they seek your will.
Jesus may you be glorified as we follow you together in faith. Amen.

Notes taken from our parish meeting held on October 6, 2019
On Oct. 3, 2021 we held a meeting (originally scheduled for March 15, 2020) to discuss the discernment process and the conclusion of that process. The vestry will request that the Bishop deconsecrate the Stone Church Building. A team will be assembled to ensure a thoughtful memorial is erected on site, and elements of the old building be installed in the new.
